After getting a call from his half-sister, Greyson Bailey heads back to his mother’s house, to help her pick up the pieces after getting let go from her job. Still reeling from a breakup with his boyfriend, Greyson throws himself into caring for his mother, Brenda, her husband Pablo and their teenage daughter Mia. As time goes on, Greyson slips into summertime in the sleepy town his mother calls home, but past and present wounds creep up on him and he has to face his own truth sooner, rather than later.
